My adrenaline is flowing pretty well for being a sleep deprived retired person. I have a lot of other emotions about this trip, as it is somewhat of a bucket-list experience for me. I wish I could have afforded it earlier in my life, but better late than never. As a geography major in college, and having completed all the coursework on a masters in the subject, I've felt a little underrepresented in the travel experience in geography. Lots of classes, but not much hands-on travel time. It is an adventure long awaited for me. I have high hopes of a reasonably problem free, epic adventure. I realize the inherent issues with modern travel and the ever present over-booking problems, flight cancellations, and delays. I remain flexible and optimistic. Let the adventure begin!
